Christmas spirit: Lea Michele looked festive in gold as she displayed an envious set of pins on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno
Lea Michele showcased an enviable pair of pins last night that will incite the green-eyed monster in the female elite of Hollywood.
Jay Leno was left wide-eyed over the length, or lack of, of the Glee star's dress that he made a quip about it being the reason for her family's exile.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show, the 25-year-old actress stepped out in a stunning festive gold frock with a plunging neckline.
The brunette beauty was invited on the show to promote her latest film New Year's Eve, in which she stars opposite Ashton Kutcher.
But the plentiful inches of flesh on display impressed Leno more.
During her interview, Lea was quizzed about her surname - which she changed as she entered the world of showbiz.
Rising star: Thanks to the success of Glee, Lea has been catapulted into the limelight
She explained: 'Sarfati. That's my real last name. I don't use it a lot because I got Lea So-fatty, Lea So-farty at school.
'So when I was little and I went on my first audition they were like, "And may we have your name," and I was like Lea Michele.
'And I've been Lea Michele ever since.'
Glee-ful: Lea spoke about her new role in New Year's Eve, in which she stars alongside Ashton Kutcher
When Leno asked her about the origin of the Sarfati name, Michele added: 'It's Sephardic, which is Spanish/Jew.
'We're from Spain, got kicked out... went there, went there.'
To which Leno joked: 'Now why did you get kicked out. Was the skirt too short?'
Chatterbox: Glee actress spilled the beans on the famous sofa
Following the interview, Michele gushed to her fans on Twitter, saying: 'Just finished typing (sic) #JayLeno! Had the best time! Talked Bout #NewYearsEve and #Glee! You're the best Mr. Leno!'
Her latest film follows the lives of several individuals in the Big Apple on New Year's Eve, with Kutcher and Michele taking on the roles of Randy and Elise, who get stuck in an elevator.
An impressive mish-mash of stars have been cast in the film, with Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Zac Efron and Hilary Swank also on the line-up.
