Judging from her catwalk ready figure, one wouldn't naturally expect Blake Lively to spend much time indulging a sweet tooth. But the 25 year-old admits to gorging on cupcakes, and says food is her big passion.

The 25-year-old Gossip Girl actress who is currently dating handsome actor Ryan Reynolds revealed that the one thing that all of her boyfriends past and present have in common, is that 'they all like to eat'.

During an exclusive interview with Marie Claire magazine, Lively spoke up about her fashion inspirations, her obsession with the Spice Girls and why Twitter can make her life difficult.

But first, the Savages star wanted to talk about her love of food and why she spends so much time in the kitchen.

'To be around me, you must love food or I’m the most obnoxious person you’ve ever met,' she explained.

'I’m in a big cooking phase. That’s all I talk about. If you went to my house and didn’t know who it belonged to, you would not think it belonged to an actress.

'There’s no memorabilia from my career, no showbizzy pictures on the wall. You would think it was the house of a cooking obsessive. I even have a special area set aside just for baking cupcakes.’

However, despite indulging in her favourite past time, Lively admitted that the secret to her staying slim is simply her age, saying: 'Being 25 years old!'

She added: 'That and a good metabolism. I could lie and put it down to dog walking, but you would be well within your rights to call my bluff: my dog weighs three pounds. I take six steps and she’s done for. In a few more years, I’ll need to have a new secret, as in an incredibly strict diet regime.’

The actress has a family who all work in the industry, including her mother who is a talent manager.

'Having family in the industry took all of the glitz and glamour out of it,' she said. 'While it’s a good job, and one that they all love, it’s just a job. It isn’t a lifestyle. Hollywood is only as much of your life as you let it be. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the spotlight. The more I’m in it, the more uncomfortable I am.’

Lively added that she wants 'the kids in my family to experience normality' so when she's out and about with them, she tries to protect them from the attention she gets.

'If someone comes up to me and asks for a picture, I’ll tell the children that I make really great cupcakes and that’s why they’ve heard about me.’

However, it's not always so easy to brush off the attention and Lively added that ‘Twitter is making going out on a date trickier.'

Speaking about the social media network, she said: 'I’m sure fans think they’re doing something sweet when they Tweet, “Look! I’m in the same restaurant as Blake Lively!”

'For me, the reality is that word soon gets round about where I am, a bunch of people gather outside and then the paps start their chase. While nobody has any bad intentions, it makes it tougher to be anonymous.'

However, the tables were turned when the blonde star was in London recently.

After remaining in her hotel for most of her stay - due to the rain - Lively decided to venture out for dinner.

'After I’d arrived, I was told a bunch of paparazzi had showed up. I thought, “That’s so weird. I’ve been left alone most of my stay – why are they bothering me now?” But then someone told me it was because Victoria Beckham was in the same restaurant,' she explained.

Lively opted against bothering her while she was eating, but when she found out the rest of the Spice Girls were there too, she couldn't resist.

'I was like, I definitely need to say hello! So, there you have it, I got to hang out with the Spice Girls. It was my lifelong dream. That’s it now. I can quit.’

Skintight look: Blake Lively was spotted out and about in New York wearing a pair of very skinny jeans


She may have been promoting her own brand of cupcakes last week but it seems that Blake Lively can still fit into her skinny jeans.

The 24-year-old actress was spotted out and about in New York City yesterday wearing a pair of skintight jeans that showed off her enviable figure.

Blake may be loved-up with her Green Lantern co-star Ryan Reynolds, but it seems she won't be letting herself go any time soon.


The Gossip Girls star teamed her skinnies with a black top, matching leather biker jacket and a chunky patterned scarf to keep her warm.

She finished off the look with a pair of heeled lace up boots and carried a brown handbag as she strolled along the street.

She appeared deep in thought as she chatted away on her mobile phone and looked keen to reach her destination.

As well as promoting her baked goods at New York bakery Sprinkles, Blake has also been spotted on the set of Gossip Girls in the Big Apple.

Last week she was pictured taking her pet dog Penny and Ryan's beloved pooch, Baxter, for a walk in between takes and was later seen heading home where she no doubt met up with the 35-year-old actor.

The couple were first seen out together in October when Blake was seen leaving the Ryan's Boston apartment on several occasions.

The pair are obviously smitten with one another after they took a romantic break together in Utah at the beginning on December.

During their time at the Johnson Mill Bed and Breakfast, Blake and Ryan were seen sharing a series of lingering looks and passionate kisses as if there was no one else in the world.

Perhaps it was Ryan that Blake was talking to on the phone as she is obviously a lady in love.

She has already been spotted leaving his Boston apartment twice in as many days.

And it seems that Blake Lively is becoming pretty inseparable from her new love Ryan Reynolds, after she was sighted peering out of his trailer yesterday.

The 24-year-old Gossip Girl star also gifted the actor with her Maltipoo dog wrapped in an array of colourful balloons.

The delighted actor, who turned 35 yesterday, crouched down petting little pooch Penny alongside an on set assistant.

Blake had earlier been spotted peering out of the actor's trailer as he rode his bike around the Boston set of new movie R.I.P.D.

At one point, the actor looked up and smiled at the actress as she peeked out of the trailer door.

Today's sighting comes after the actress was spotted leaving Ryan's house on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

According to Just Jared, she also brought the actor a large heavy-looking wrapped gift on Saturday.

'They are very much a couple,' a source recently told People. 'They're really happy together.'

Yesterday, the Gossip Girl star covered her face in a floppy hat and carried her little dog out to the car as she left Ryan's apartment.

Blake wore a black coat, a cardigan and jeans with knee high black boots, while Ryan clearly was trying to hide his face by pulling the collar of his coat up.

The pair, who spent the summer of 2010 together filming Green Lantern were also spotted leaving Ryan's Boston apartment on Saturday morning, a move which sparked rumours that the couple are dating.

Accompanied by his dog, Ryan helped Blake put some items into the trunk of her black SUV.

The pair are reported by the New York Post's Page Six column to have spent Thursday night out at Manhattan hot spot The Box to celebrate Ryan's birthday, along with his friend Sandra Bullock.

A source told the newspaper: 'He was definitely with Blake. Sandra arrived with the couple and a group, and they watched some of the burlesque performers.

'The group had a great time and stayed late. Sandra left with many of the others, leaving Blake and Ryan alone.'

They added: 'Blake and Ryan were sitting downstairs holding hands and had bodyguards with them. They left together at around 2.15 am.'

Ryan has been linked to a number of women since his divorce from his wife Scarlett Johansson was finalised this summer after they separated last December.

'Right now I seem to be on a speed-dating mission - at least according to those stories that are going around at the moment,' he said recently.

'Even my mom is confused. No man is potent enough to be able to go through as many women as that in such a short amount of time like I allegedly have!'

New love? Leonardo DiCaprio is said to have started seeing Australian model Alyce Crawford

He's one of Hollywood's hottest heartthrobs, so it's no wonder that Leonardo DiCaprio wasn't single for long.

Just days after splitting from Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively, the Titanic actor has been linked to stunning Australian model Alyce Crawford.

DiCaprio, who has been staying in Sydney while filming The Great Gatsby, is said to have had regular visits from 21-year-old Crawford, a former Australia's Next Top Model contestant, at his hotel.

An insider told Australia's Daily Telegraph newspaper: 'It's been going on about two weeks. He texts her when he wants to see her and they hook up a few times a week.

'They've mostly been meeting up during the week. He does other things on weekends.

'She's been going to his hotel to visit but he is too smart to be seen with her in public.'

But while Crawford denied she was dating DiCaprio, she did describe him as a 'lovely, lovely guy'.

She added: 'We have a lot of mutual friends and he seems really nice. We're just friends.'

Regardless over whether DiCaprio has found a new girl, the Inception star was spotted yesterday looking down in the dumps as he headed to the film set to shoot new scenes for the upcoming movie.

With his head resting on his hands, the actor struggled to hide his emotions, and looked downcast as he put his head out the window.

But it appears that the romance between Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio has already fizzled out.

Representatives for the Hollywood couple confirmed to Us Weekly magazine that the pair have called it quits after just five months of dating.


The two are now said to 'remain friends'.

The news may come as a shock to Leo's loved ones, who were certain that Blake was 'the one' for the actor, who has in the past dated supermodels Bar Refaeli and Gisele Bundchen.

'[I have] never seen him like this with a girl.' one friend told Us Weekly.

The insider told the publication that two months ago in June, the couple were holed up in the L.A home of the actor, and Blake blew Leo away with her home cooking.

'She spent the whole time baking... Leo's never dated a girl who can cook. And he's smitten!' they said.

They were spotted being intimate in Disneyland, Monte Carlo, Venice and Saint-Paul de Vence in France.

The pair also enjoyed time in Cannes, Monaco and Portofino - enjoying a whirlwind of story-book dates.

Blake lost out to British treasure, Carey Mulligan, but a dinner with DiCaprio seems to have secured her the role of Leo's girlfriend.
