She is best known for playing privileged It girl Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl.
But Blake Lively looks miles removed from her Manhattan high society character as a hippie girl dating two drug dealers in a new trailer for her latest movie Savages.
In fact, it looks like her character is going to go through quite the journey in the gritty Oliver Stone drama.

Gagging to see it: Fans of Blake Lively will be excited to watch the newly released trailer for Savages
She plays a character named Ophelia in the movie, and is able to enjoy the high-life with her two lovers Ben and Chon thanks to their success as marijuana growers.
However the trailer opens with a teaser about the strife that lies ahead for the trio, with Blake speaking in an American Beauty style voiceover.
She says: Just because I'm telling you this story doesn't mean I'm alive at the end of it.'
The group's blissful California bubble is burst as a Mexican drug cartel decide to expand their business north, and want a piece of their action.
California girl: Blake's blond locks and suntan make her ideal for the role of free-loving Ophelia in the Oliver Stone film
Two hunks are better than one: Drug dealers Chon and Ben share their pretty blond lover as well as their takings
Are the tacos too spicy? It seems the Mexican cartel are not treating Blake's character well after they capture her
When Aaron Johnson's character Ben, who is the brains of the operation, decides he wants nothing to do with them, the angry gangsters decide to strike back.
The group's boss Elena, who is played by Salma Hayek, decides to strike them at their weakest point, and has her goons capture their girlfriend.
And it appears she is in for a particularly rough time, as she is seen being tortured by a thug played by Benicio del Toro.
Villains: Torturer Benicio del Toro answer's to the gang's leader Salma Hayek in the crime drama
Coming for her: Blake's character seems heartened when she learns her friends are butchering Elena's henchmen
A hair-raising guest appearance: John Travolta has ditched his famous weave for his role as a smarmy federal agent
However it seems the drug gang's plot is sure to blow up in their faces, as Ben and Taylor Kitsch's former Navy SEAL Chon decide to launch an unlikely, yet seemingly successful, two man operation to take them down.
Given Oscar-winning Stone's history of mixing controversy and action in films such as Natural Born Killers and Platoon, this will surely be one to watch for movie fans.
Luckily for them, they seem to be aided by a Drug Enforcement Administration officer played by John Travlota, who provides them with some much needed intelligence on their foes.
The film is based on the critically acclaimed book by author Don Winslow, which the New York Times described as 'startling bid for attention.'
Ironically Blake's most famous role to date was also based on a popular series of books, the best-selling Gossip Girl series proper already having 14 entries, as well as spawning the spin-off Gossip Girl: The Carlyles tomes.
Originally Jennifer Lawrence had been set to play the role of Ophelia, but Leonardo Di Caprio's former squeeze got her big chance when she dropped out to star in The Hunger Games.
What would Serena van der Woodsen think? Blake is usually seen in more genteel company on Gossip Girl
