The new housewife? Ayda Field, seen here with husband Robbie Williams, is in talks to join the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Robbie Wlliams could be about to finally achieve what he has so-far found impossible - fame in the U.S.
But it won't be as a singer - instead he could become a reality star with his new wife Ayda Field in talks to join the cast of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.
The show has just been confirmed for a second series - with sources saying a new housewife will be on the cast.
Ayda is not the only possibility being considered.
Faye Resnick, already familiar to viewers as Kyle Richards' friend, is in talks to be become full-time, after making occasional appearances in the first series.
A source told Perez Hilton: 'There's two contenders to join the cast. It is between Faye Resnick and Ayda Field.
If I were to put money on it, I would say Ayda will be the new castmember. Faye is shooting for the show already because she is an actual friend of the cast.
'It is still unclear if Faye will remain a friend or become a central character on the show.'
Other names who had been linked with the show, but since discounted, include Heidi Montag, Brandi Glanville and Denise Richards.
Back to work: The cast of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills have all returned for a second series
Production on the new series began on Tuesday, shortly after contracts were signed.
Among the cast members thought to be returning are sisters Kim and Kyle Richards and Kelsey Grammer's ex-wife Camille.
Show makers Bravo are not commenting on the final line-up of the series, although all six original cast members attended a party thrown by the network last night.
Singer Robbie, 36, is famous across the world, both as a solo artist and with his band Take That.
But with more than 20 years in showbusiness behind him he has failed to break the difficult U.S. market, previously saying he enjoying the anonymity this leant to his life in America.
Were his new wife, 31, to join the cast of the show her scenes would centre around the couple's $18million Beverly Hills mansion, and would be sure to feature her famous husband.
Ayda works as an actress and has appeared in several American television series, including the soap opera Days Of Our Lives and the comedy drama Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.
The couple met shortly after Robbie checked out of a U.S. clinic in a bid to treat his drug addiction in 2007. It was the second spell in rehab for the star, the first coming after he left Take That in 1995.
He has since rejoined the band and is experienced renewed interest in his music.
