She is currently making a music comeback after years out of the spotlight, and Charlotte Church certainly threw herself into her performance at the Blissfields Music Festival yesterday.

The mother-of-two, who is currently sporting a platinum blonde hair-do, looked in danger of having a wardrobe malfunction as she belted out some of her new material in a cream maxi dress.

Charlotte’s cleavage spilled out of the low-cut gown, while its sheer material highlighted her black underwear.

The 26-year-old singer had earlier expressed her excitement about the gig at Woodmancott, Hampshire, in a post on her Twitter account.

‘About to go on @blissfields festival #boomboom,’ she wrote earlier in the day.

The gig came just two weeks after her low-key show at Hay Festival where she performed to a crowd of just 150.

‘We were delighted when Charlotte approached us to preview new material at the event,’ said festival organisers.

‘We've always upheld the belief that Blissfields should be a place for all kinds of music, both emerging and established, and we know she'll put on a quality show that everybody will enjoy.

Blissfields began 12 years ago in the back garden of founders Paul and Mel Bliss and has remained an intimate occasion despite switching sites, with the Woodmancott venue capacity just 2,500.

Other performers at the popular event this year included Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Lauren Thalia, Patrick Wolf and The Noisettes.

Charlotte's addition to the line-up was a boost for the former child prodigy, who has seen her music career stall in recent years. Her last album Back to Scratch sold just 16,000 copies sold in its first month, a far cry from the huge success of her debut album Voice of an Angel, which sold 10million copies worldwide.

Charlotte recently admitted that she thinks that her two children, daughter Ruby, four, and three-year-old son Dexter, may have inherited her passion for music.

However she has no intention of allowing them to pursue careers in the entertainment business for the time being.

‘They have lovely little voices but it's difficult, I am reticent, really worried,’ she told talk show host Graham Norton while appearing on his show.

Charlotte split from Ruby and Dexter’s father, former rugby player and The Bachelor star Gavin Henson in 2010. She is currently dating Jonathan Powell, who she met while recording her last album.

Charlotte Church should maybe reconsider her new bright red locks.

The singer, 25, left her Cardiff home today with a skip in her step and minimal make up - which is where her hair colouring proved to be a thorn in her side.

Thanks to her scarlet bob Charlotte's face looked washed out, more so than it normally would thanks to the bright colour of her hair.

The usually radiant young mother-of-two certainly looked a lot paler than she is often seen, though the pictures were taken when she was merely going about her daily business and not at a premiere.

Charlotte, who is mother to Ruby, three, and Dexter, two, coordinated her red mop with a navy and red striped polo top and a pair of navy tracksuit bottoms.

She topped off the well thought out ensemble with a pair of flip flops.

'I want to find a girl who's honest. There has to be that spark, of course – that connection. But mostly it's about finding someone who's got a kind heart.'

Embarrassed: Charlotte Church claims she was suffering from a full bladder after too much wine at the polo last week


Charlotte Church insists she was not having sex while caught in a compromising position at a charity polo event last week.

The new redhead is adamant she simply had an innocent toilet trip, but admits the circumstances in which she did so are humiliating.

The former Over The Rainbow judge confessed it was an 'embarrassing moment' as the sensational footage showed her running around with her underwear pulled down as her boyfriend tried to keep her from falling over.

The mum-of-two was filmed with her knickers around her ankles, sparking rumours she had just done the deed with Jonathan Powell.


But Charlotte blamed a weak bladder and too much vino for her indiscretion during the impromptu bathroom break.

She told Reveal: 'Last Saturday, at an outdoor event I happened to find myself desperate for a wee with the toilet cubicles all occupied.

'I had also consumed a bottle of wine.

'However, it seems that someone was determined to expose what was an embarrassing moment for me and a dreadful lack of judgement on my part.

'It was Jonathan who noticed that there was some guy filming me and he tried to pull me away.'

Charlotte added: 'Regrettably, oh-so regrettably, I had not the time to pull up my rather large pants.

'I hope I can be forgiven for these antics but, you know, when you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go.'

The Welsh songbird quashed her angelic image long ago when pictures of of the child star smoking emerged when she was just 16.

She later had a string of doomed relationships, including one with badboy model Steve Johnson who then wrote a book about her.

The 25-year-old also abandoned her original fans, by swapping classical music for a taste of pop stardom.

In 2005, she made the transition well with album Tissues And Issues reaching No5, but in 2010, Back To Scratch bombed at No23.

Charlotte has two children with ex-boyfriend and rugby player Gavin Henson, although the pair never married.

Singer Charlotte Church showed off her newly dyed red hair during a trip to her local supermarket.

The mother of two was pictured yesterday as she stocked up on supplies at Tesco in Cardiff, Wales.

Undeterred by the overcast weather, the Welsh star looked dressed for the summer in a red floral dress and open-toed sandals.

Miss Church, 25, appeared to be sticking to her healthy eating plan as she filled her shopping basket with fruit, vegetables and lean meat.

She then managed a smile as she trudged across the supermarket car park carrying four heavy bags.

Miss Church pledged to lose weight by exercising more and eating healthier after splitting from her rugby-ace fiancé, Gavin Henson, in April last year.

It is not the first time that Miss Church has coloured her hair red, having first sported fiery locks in 2008.

Her appearance follows a difficult few days for the Voice Of An Angel singer.

Last week a video came to light apparently showing the star with her knickers around her ankles at a charity event.

The clip appeared to show Miss Church and boyfriend Jonathan Powell, 24, enjoying a drunken tryst against a van at a polo event although she later explained she was in taking an impromptu bathroom break.

She had earlier sung the Welsh national anthem at Glanusk Park, Powys, in aid of a children’s hospital.

Miss Church is no stranger to embarrassing herself while drunk.

Before she had her children – three-year-old Ruby and Dexter, two – with Henson, she said she loved getting drunk.

Miss Church said: ‘I can sink ’em! If I’m home, I’ll start with a Cheeky Vimto – double port and a bottle of WKD Blue in the same glass. Once I’m out, I’ll have ten double vodkas. ’

After the incident, which took place at around 10pm on Saturday night, the woman is seen with her knickers around her ankles as she is led back to the party.


The incident came after mother-of-two Charlotte performed the Welsh national anthem at the party at Glanusk Park, Powys, in aid of a children's hospital of which she is patron.

Charlotte, who also unveiled her new bright red hair over the weekend, is no stranger to embarrassing herself while drunk.

Before she had her children, three-year-old Ruby and Dexter, two, with ex-fiancé Gavin Henson, Charlotte said in an interview she loved getting drunk on nights out.

'The only time I drink is to get p***ed and dance like a crazy woman.'
